Then again....
08.31.06 (4:12 pm)   [edit]

I answered the petty remark that was left for me and I decided not to delete it..:) I guess we forgot that we are living in a country that has given us the freedom of speech.  So I write, I edit, and I delete my posts as much as I want for as long as I want, and YOU  have the right to NOT read me.  But you do, don't you? loading my page at least 5 times a day.  lol I am sure you enjoy me..what else could it be, I know who you are and I don't really care to look at your blog.  You have the right to do what your heart desires and if that heart of yours desires to sting me once in a while so be it..:) oh yes I edited my post to add this too : I will refuse to prove you wrong..you can think or believe what you wish..:) May the light finds its way into your heart or you find the light to elighten your heart... whatever comes first..:)

Ok now, I was talking about tabloids.  So this girl Jennifer Aniston gets a free publicity for her insecurity.  It is ironic how the same tabloids dedicate a tiny line to the people who get killed all over the world through war and famine.

I heard President Bush's speech today and I was wondering if we are preparing for another attack.  How can we have sanctions against a country that we have sactioned 27 years ago? what I am afraid of is, that they also can saction against us and those countires  ;who voted for the sactions. They can have an oil embargo on us all.  They can block the straight of Hormoz to any ships that pass by.  They can bomb Saudi Arabia if we strike them. They can spread the haterd, and they can very well do it.  So what will happen? are we going to bomb them? and turn another country into rubbles and create another field for feeding terrorism? what makes us think or believe that Pakistan a country in which thousands of Talibans and members of Al Quaida live can have the atomic bomb? How can we trust Israel who marches into any terriroty without a remore? How can wew trust Indians with the atomic bomb. Oh yes not to mention North Korea. We simply just turn our head and never say a word when they drop their bombs into the occean near Japan.

I am totally confused.  If having atomic bomb is dangerous to the humanity, isn't it time for every country to ban it? why not everyone abandon the use of the atomic bomb.  Why do we have it? to use it again in case someone threatened our land? why other countires that we have adiplomatic relationship could have it and not the others? are we saying that we as well as French and British and all the western countries are sane and others are not? who invades whom? who turn his head to the atrocities?

I don't know, I wished the people of Iran could overthrow those bastard Mulla's regime for it didn't bring anything to the poor people and the country other than misery.  I wished those students who get killed every day for their belief could rise and say "No. enough is enough" I wished people could see how an economic sanction will r uintheir lives,  not those Mullas who have invested every bit of the country's wealth in Canada and UK and UAE and Dubai and practically all over the world.  Why UN doesn't hold their assets instead of having an economis sanction against the peaple? don't they know that they only turn the life of those people into misery? those bastards (Mullas) will not be harmed..:(

Anyway..today is just like any other day with a lot of bad news from every conceivable news channel.   But to me it was a funny day.  Long time ago when I was unemployed and wanting so much to have a job, no one called, but things have changed and it is funny.

It is funny because when something is meant to happen will happen no matter what, and when it doesn't, then no prayers and no force can make it happen...is it God who decides? is it a force beyond and above all of us? or is it our mere destiny and luck?

Something to think about..:)

When you and I behind the veil are past,  Oh, but the long, long while the world shall last,    Which of our coming and departure heeds,   As the sea's self should head a pebbel-cast.

Coward or Nosy? which one?
08.11.06 (11:05 am)   [edit]

I am the type of a person who voices her opinion at the risk of getting bashed and confronted.  I believe hiding behind the curtain and saying things is an act of weakness and utmost insecurity and cowardice.  Now with that in  mind, we know that when we build a house we also add an entrance door for the people to come in and when they do so we see their faces.  We either welcome them or we simply refuse to let them in.  Sometimes we have an intruder who might break in and search our belonging and monitor our activities, read our letters, see our bills, and so on and so forth.

What these people don't know is we might have set up an apparatus to monitor the entrance door.  May be we don't know their identity but we certainly know that there had been an intrusion.

I wonder what these people think or want to accomplish? just being nosy? or plain coward.  Period

Let's live and let live

Human nature …always delves through the ruble of the past to ease the pain.  We refuse to see the present simply it is too painful.  But of course decades from now, we look back and create yet another monster from the past and keep bringing up his name and close our eyes to the present atrocities.  “Learning” is the key, not repeating.

We are so involved with Action News that I wonder if anyone noticed that at least 1000 people were killed in a Tsunami that had hit Asia just a month ago...Oh well who cares.....

On the average 50 civilians are getting killed in Iraq, our young boys, more than 2000 of them have been killed in Iraq.  These are people just like you and me.  Those poor soldiers are getting killed for what?

Then it is Lebanon.  Why not thinking of those poor children who had been massacred for no reason.  Are we saying that those children were condemned to die because their parents were Shi’a Moslems?
Who is the Fascist now?  Who is racist now? Why branding people based on their belief and religion?

As far as I am concerned there is only one God and the problem arises when we define ourselves based on our faith, Moslems, Christians, Jews, Buddhist. In my opinion they all worship the same God and all the prophets have basically said the same things.    Have you ever said to yourself “I don’t need an ambassador to reach God”?

I think it is time for all human kind to stop dwelling on the past.  Let’s stop repeating the past and solve the root of all this evil.  Let’s be fair, let’s stop branding people, and let’s for once see the world through the eyes of beholder.
Let’s not be prejudice.

What are we trying to do?
08.10.06 (2:59 pm)   [edit]

Every day I get up early and turn on the TV and watch the news.  Every day I come home from work and turn on the TV and watch the news.  And every day I get upset and angry and question the motives behind theses wars.

What are we trying to accomplish?
Spreading democracy or hypocrisy? Making the world a safe place? Or are we expanding the breeding ground for more hatred and terror? Reporting bias or real news? Giving humanitarian aids to people whom should not have been in this situation in the first place, or trying to fix our reputation in the world?

What are we trying to do?
Forcing people to become a refugee in their own country? Or are we trying to teach them how they should live freely and enjoy a democratic government?

What are we trying to do?
Teaching our children how to be strong and destroy the weak? Are we teaching them that it is ok to be destructive as long as you have a strong partner backing you up? Are we teaching them that mutual agreement no longer holds ground? Are we teaching them that United Nations is nothing but an organization that imposes the will of one or two nations (depending on their wealth and power) on the entire world?

What are we trying to teach our children?
That death is discriminatory? That it is ok for some people to die and not ok for the others? That your race decides if your life was worth it? Are we teaching them to read an entire paragraph of the newspaper in which only the paragraphs five and six tell us about each of the three victims, but not until the 19th paragraph do we return to the massacre?

What are we trying to do?
To destroy people’s life, turn them into refugees and then send them few million dollars for the humanitarian aids, which incidentally is banned from getting to them due to the aggression? Are we trying to mend their destroyed lives or insult them or make them hate us even more? That it is ok for some nations to break the International laws but not ok for the other?

What on earth are we trying to teach, to accomplish?

What happened to our country, where is that good old place where once everyone loved peace and hated war, what happened to those days where the entire world looked up to us and admired our caring and loving nature? what happened?

Life
08.10.06 (11:28 am)   [edit]
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor.  Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite -  telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said:  "If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.  While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that  is the source of your problems and stress.

"Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee in most cases, just more expensive, and in some cases even hides what we drink.  What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups."  They began eyeing each other's cups.

"Now consider this:  Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups.  They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live.  Sometimes by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee.  Not the cups ... enjoy your coffee."
