Keeping score of old scors and scars, getting even and one-upping. always make you less than you are............................

The Moon
09.10.06 (1:10 am)   [edit]

I went to  a festival tonight. The field was covered wit h lights and the colorful tents.  People were walking with such happy faces, looking at the little kiosks, the music could be heard from every corner.  Childrens with their colorful clothes and painted faces were running around, women walking with such coquttishness, men charmed and happy, laughing outloud.  It was a lively night.  The food court were flooded with people, the smell of the different food had filled the air.

I walked towards the big stage   ;where the band was playing happy songs.  As I was walking towards the stage in the field lightened with little light bulbs, I noticed the big moon shining majestically over the stage.  It looked like a big balloon, so close as if it was there for any hands just to reach it.  I held my breath and stopped.  I kept looking at the moon, thinking how many people in the world can see this same moon?

I am home now and I just walked outside, sipping on my wine, I lit a cigarette, looked up and saw the same moon.  It was smaller and more distant.  I sat there silently and looked at the moon, stunned at how bright it shines.  The moon had lighterned my little place, and I noticed that I didn't need a light.

Casanova
09.09.06 (2:26 am)   [edit]
Last night as I was lazily turning the TV channels I ended up in IFC channel. The movie had just been started and I was eager to see it."Fellini's Casanova". If you are a movie fan and know Fellini's work then you should know that his movies are full of metaphors. In the movie Casanova was a libertine, collecting seductions and sexual feats. But it seemed that with all that sexual feasts he was not happy. It seemed that Fellini was more interested to introduce Casanova as an ordinary man who is bored with life, than a great lover as everyone knows. I was watching the movie with subtitle while trying hard to see the faces and understand all the metaphors. The interesting scene was when there was a love making contest which was held by Prince Del Brundo. Casanova chose a young beautiful gir and the contest begun. The scene was sad and pathetic. It depicted the ultimate lack of compassions and love, the emptiness, the loss. He won the contest and he was hailed by his compatriots, but the emptiness and sadness was there. The girl cried. He was a lonely man. The saddest scene (in my opinion) was when he entered a brothel and was chosen by a hunchback woman. In a little box (a room) the woman used him as a sex object with her ugly body and face....yet it was her who had the feast. Another time in a theatre after the show, he made love to a doll. A doll which was probably what he was yearning for, a companion....... At the end of his life, he had a dream....He was in Venice where he wanted so much to go back to. He saw this beautiful woman whom he thought is the woman he believed he once loved, but when he went close to her, he realized it was the same doll that he had sex with in the theatre. He held her and danced with her, and eventually his face lost the last traces of humanity, compassion ........and finally his face turned into a doll..........a lifeless object. Fellini was a great director and his best movie in my opinion is "La Strada". A must see..:) Have a great weekend..:)

This is a good one.......:)

In Jerusalem , a female CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish
man who had been going to the Wailing Wall to pray, twice a day,
everyday, for a long, long time.
So she went to the Wailing Wall to check it out, and there he was.

She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to
leave, she approached him for an interview.
"I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN. Sir, how long have you been coming to
the Wall and praying?"
"For about 60 years".
"60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?"
"I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims.

I pray for all the hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to
grow up in safety and friendship."
"Sir, how do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"
"Like I'm talking to a fuckin' wall!"

Solve this tough problem

You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed.

On your right side is a sharp drop off and on your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you.

Directly in front of you is a galloping kangaroo and your horse is unable to overtake it.

Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you and the kangaroo.

What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?

If you do not know, scroll down to see answer below.

Get your drunk ass off the merry-go-round!!! :)
