A good laugh
09.26.08 (8:45 am)   [edit]
I guess most if not all of you watched Sara Palin and Katie Couric interview. I can only say it was a disaster, but funny I mean it could have been a part of the Saturday Night Live program.  I am sure they will probably dedicate a section of their program to this silly interview.   So she is going home and digs into her desk and papers to find an example of what McCain did for more regulation…awwwwww wwwwww How sweet. Oh by the way I can call myself a scientist, you know why? Oh man I love to look at the moon when it’s the Crescent moon and full moon.    Based on Palin’s interpretation of foreign policy because Putin flies over Alaska to get to Washington she has experience….loooooooooooooooooool&hel lip;. Not to mention the good guys and the bad guys comment.  I can imagine her conversation with Iran and Israel ..”Israel is a good boy…you areeeeee a bad boy..na na na na naaaaaaaaaa”

I truly had a good laugh on Thursday night, that was good enough to start my weekend but suddenly I envisioned the future of this great country and Palin as her VP…..or who knows may be even the  President…..Scary very Scary

Couric: But can you give me any other concrete examples? Because I know you've said Barack Obama is a lot of talk and no action. Can you give me any other examples in his 26 years of John McCain truly taking a stand on this?

Palin: I can give you examples of things that John McCain has done, that has shown his foresight, his pragmatism, and his leadership abilities. And that is what America needs today.

Couric: I'm just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation.

Palin: I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you.

On Foreign policy:

Couric: You've cited Alaska's proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?

Sarah Palin: That Alaska has a very narrow maritime border between a foreign country, Russia, and, on our other side, the land-boundary that we have with Canada. It's funny that a comment like that was kinda made to … I don't know, you know … reporters.

Couric: Mocked?

Palin: Yeah, mocked, I guess that's the word, yeah.

Couric: Well, explain to me why that enhances your foreign-policy credentials.

Palin: Well, it certainly does, because our, our next-door neighbors are foreign countries, there in the state that I am the executive of. And there…

Couric: Have you ever been involved in any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?

Palin: We have trade missions back and forth, we do. It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia. As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state.

Couric: You recently said three times that you would never, quote, "second guess" Israel if that country decided to attack Iran. Why not?

Palin: We shouldn't second guess Israel's security efforts because we cannot ever afford to send a message that we would allow a second Holocaust, for one. Israel has got to have the opportunity and the ability to protect itself. They are our closest ally in the Mideast. We need them. They need us. And we shouldn't second guess their efforts.

Couric: You don't think the United States is within its rights to express its position to Israel? And if that means second-guessing or discussing an option?

Palin: No, abso … we need to express our rights and our concerns and …

Couric: But you said never second guess them.

Palin: We don't have to second-guess what their efforts would be if they believe … that it is in their country and their allies, including us, all of our best interests to fight against a regime, especially Iran, who would seek to wipe them off the face of the earth. It is obvious to me who the good guys are in this one and who the bad guys are. The bad guys are the ones who say Israel is a stinking corpse and should be wiped off the face of the earth. That's not a good guy who is saying that. Now, one who would seek to protect the good guys in this, the leaders of Israel and her friends, her allies, including the United States, in my world, those are the good guys.

This is just......

I am dead tired, well..not physically but ...no that's not true..I am not tired I guess I am bored, and the thought of having to go to the dentist right after work is bothersome..yes that's it...I wished I could go home and have a glass of wine and play with my dog...wow what a trip...lol

My son invited me to go to a concert this weekend and he bought the tickets about 2 months ago so I guess we will be sitting in the front row.  I wished he would call me more often whe he is not feeling good and he is sick but he doesn't want to make me worried.  How many times should I tell him "it's ok, I rather worry now than finding out you were not feeling good later" oh well....

I think I have given up totally on someone...too many lies and too much acting...there is a certain age for certain lies or certain games and acts....we all have to grow up at some point in time...or at least that's what I think and believe...but some people don't and they have lied and acted too much for their own good .....they just can't be different...the lies have become some sort of reality to them....oh well....who cares....

I was thinking today that the first choice of your mate is the real one...the subsequent ones that follow are either like the first one or they won't make you happy...I can not elaborate on this..I have no patience today....Ayyyy I hate dentists...:(  I dont make sense right???? I know it..

This is exactly how I feel..I just want to go home today.....

I better get my things and leave ....

Sorry all for not making sense....we don't have to all the time right????

A weekend in the Garden

You decide
09.17.08 (7:34 am)   [edit]

*If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by a single Mom and your grandparents, you're "exotic, different” and not a real American.

Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story.

*If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick.

*Graduate near the top of you class from Harvard Law School and you are an elitist who's not a real American and certainly not qualified to be President of the U.S.

Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating or finish close to last in your class at the Naval Academy , you're well grounded and the most qualified to hold the two highest offices in the U.S.

* If you spend 3 years as a community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a maverick and someone to be looked up to as promoting Christian values.

* If you teach children about sexual predators, you are irresponsible and eroding the fiber of society but if while Mayor of your small town, you charge rape victims for rape kits you are to be applauded for your
 leadership.

If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America 's; however if you can't remember how many houses you own, your wife is one of the richest people in America who inherited her money and wears dresses every day that cost several hundred thousand dollars, the two of you have more in common with and can relate better to "real" Americans than the snooty Harvard Law graduates who paid their own way through college and law school.

If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with a DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that hates America and advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

* If you repeatedly lie about your own record and that of your opponent while your opponent refuses to make up lies about you, you're a maverick who is to be admired while your opponent is weird, out of touch elitist.

OK, much clearer now.
