Fat Cats
01.30.09 (2:13 pm)   [edit]

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said: "If you somehow take that bonus out of the economy, it really will create unemployment. It means less spending in restaurants, less spending in department stores, so everything has an impact.”  His comment came after President Obama admonished Corporations to pay fat bonuses.  Just imagine Wall Street bankers collectively received $18.4 billion in bonuses in 2008.  Oh my.  Mr. Giuliani shut the hell up man you moron conservative ass.  How about investing that money to save the economy or spending it on lost mortgages? It’s time for people like you to step aside and let this once great country to rejuvenate and become great again.  By the way we started to shoot fat cats, so find a refuge.

Well it did happen finally.  It was a wonderful day, I stayed home for the Inauguration and cried as he sworn in.  :) Now I am at work CryI wished I was home now Laughing

I hope and pray that as he brought hope and unity to this country he will be able to bring peace into this world :) Amen

Hope is the next best thing....:)

It was a small town and the patrolman was making his evening rounds. As he was checking a used car lot, he came upon two little old ladies sitting in one of the used cars.

He stopped and asked them why they were sitting there in the car. Were they trying to steal it?

'Heavens no, we bought it.'

'Then why don't you drive it away.'

'We can't drive.'

'Then why did you buy it?'

'We were told that if we bought a used car here we'd get screwed ....so we're just waiting.'

One more thing

Oh yes one more thing.  Israel is taking advantage of our governement transition, they pound inncoent people because our new elected President whom I voted for and hoped for a better life decided to stick to his belief that there is one President, yet he expresses himself for Mumbai incident and Osama Ben Laden's new tape.  He already tarnished his image among all those people who hoped for a better world.  It's the same crap except the hands have changed.

I do respect your view, but I don’t agree with you.  You see, any time you try to criticize Israel the Jewish Lobby yells “anti-Semitism&rdqu o; or Hamas lovers.  I can see how you try to blame everything on others while closing your eyes to the fact that even our President can’t decide or do anything about the situation because of a strong Jewish lobbyist in our own country.  He simply would not be elected.  Now with that in mind any proposition from UN will be null because we say no to it.  German and France and Britain and all the western countries have always ignited the wars between these countries, simply because they benefited from it, this is not something new.  All the western countries collectively cry for Human Rights and yet ignore it when it is not beneficial.  We are all hypocrites.

I am a humanitarian that do not believe in unfairness. I know for fact that Hamas is like a poison for the Palestinians and I know they don’t really care for their own, but I don’t like the way Israel reacts and the only reason they do it is because they know they have a very strong support for us.  And for your information, the only reason Israel doesn’t destroy Palestinian is not because they have mercy, it is because they can’t. Without an exception there are religion fanatics in every society and Israel is not an exception.  And those fanatics do believe that Israel should wiped Palestine off the map as much as Muslim fanatics believe that Israel should be wiped off the map.  I tell you something this is not an easy problem to solve so we can talk about it till the end of our days.  I can imagine that you must be one of those people who name call others, like Iraqis are “Rag Head” as Prince Harry the eminent prince of the most democratic country called them, or “Paki” or calling Muslims “crazy bastards” or what have you.  If that calms your nerves down then continue with that, but if you’re seeking for a solution to end this animosities and hatred then open your horizon and have compassion for human kind no matter what race or religion or belief.  I might be a dreamer but I believe we are entitled to live our life we are entitled to have a place call home.  I think the end of all this blood shed is to give them a peace of land without walls or barriers.  I believe our government should try to understand the culture, the belief, and the cause and stop protecting Israel’s interest in that region, this way we can control the peace more effectively than not.  But politics is more complicated, I can only rely on my feelings for human kind.  I am not a politician, all I can say is I don’t want innocent people especially little children to lose their lives over a peace of land.  I don’t want those children to be brainwashed by some fanatics to hate, to become a suicide bomber, or to throw stones and get killed.   You want to argue more?  I can tell you this much I may RESPECT your opinion but I don’t agree with you at all.  You are entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong and one sided I believe it is but I will never agree with you.  I think it is useless to try to convey my message to you, you don’t understand and I am tired.  So keep believing in yourself and close your mind, I don’t care.  I love John Lennon song when he says:

Imagine there's no country
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as on

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

Peace Brother or (Sister?)

They are both the same........

Its sooooooooooo ridiculous and I didn’t want to believe it but it is true.  The moment you object to Israel’s action you are accused of neo-Nazi, leftist Liberal and all those craps, just because you along with people all over the world except USA are objecting to the Israel’s unprecedented bombing in Gaza, killing civilians.  I know Hamas started it and I do NOT back them up, I know it is them who are selfish and fighting for a loss cause, but what does Israel wants to prove? That she has all the ammunition to even bomb the United Nation School?  How can I possibly have any compassion for someone who is so revengeful and have no remorse for killing young children and civilians.  And then some blogger wrote why we complain about Israel when Chinese killed so many and Iraqis died in war and so on and so forth.  So in other word since there had been wars and deaths and genocide through out the history, instead of learning from our past, we use the past to justify the present.

So I guess as long as we have people with this kind of attitude we promote Israelis to teach her kids to hate Palestinians and the other side plus all the people in Middle East teach their kids to defy Israel.  And we wonder why there is no peace.  The problem is we only think of the present.  If we look a bit further down the road, I believe we see a dark future where as a suicide bomber (most likely one of these kids) kill himself and bunch of other innocent civilians and then we call them terrorist.  By definition a terrorist is the person who terrorizes the public.  To me they both are doing that, one is more powerful the other is not, one’s act is called to defend and to protect, and the other one is called terrorism.  To me they are the same.

Little History
01.13.09 (2:22 pm)   [edit]
Wars between the Protestants and the Catholics weren’t just a spat in middle ages.  First of all it was one of the bloodiest wars in the history of the mankind.  Secondly let’s not ignore or forget wars of Protestant versus Catholic in Northern Ireland, which has both tribal and historical reasons but these differences are largely defined by religion. Since four or five hundred years ago the British Settlers (Protestants) and Catholic have had bloody ethno-religious wars, and following the foundation of the  society of the united Irishmen by Presbyterians, Catholics and Liberal Anglicans  sectarian violence between Catholics and Protestants have continued till even now so religious wars have always been a part of the human history.
I personally don’t believe in religion, any of them. I simply believe that those prophets were smart people who guided people the best way they could in their times and then their followers for many years changed the context of these teachings to suit their own needs. Plus I don’t think we need a mediator to reach God.  If you are a good person and believe in goodness of the mankind you are a man or a woman of God.  The rest is bunch of nonsense to create animosity and hatred among people, nations, and neighbors.
Just look how religion fanatics have changed the concept of religion.  Muslims kill in the name of “Allah” and believe they go to heaven because they fight for God, Jews kill because they believe that they are “Chosen” and God promised them a land thousands of years ago, some Bible beaters believe that Israel should continue this war because the end of time is reaching and the son of God will have a revelation to save us.  You know, if I was God I would definitely be pissed and angry to see how my creatures are using my name to perform their dirty works.  Let’s face it all these prophets came from Middle East or Africa because that’s were the first human being lived, and they came to change Barbarians of those times, and none was better than the other one.  They all basically said the same thing and if you don’t believe me go and read all three books and then you agree with me.
Someone in the blog has accused me of hating Israel and all that crap.  It’s really sad to see how people change your word to prove their point.  Well I don’t really like to respond.  All I am saying is read what I write, don’t change my words.  A little history may clear why there is such hatred in between Palestinians and Israelis.  After WWII Brits send all the European Jewish descendants to the so called Promised Land which used to be called Palestine. The greedy Palestinians sold some of their lands to the Jews, not knowing that there is plan by the superpowers.  So a nation of Israel was created.  Since then there has been a deep animosity between these people, and in 1967 Arabs thought by getting united they can beat Israel, well it was a mistake, but those Arabs went about their business and been like that since then and only Palestinian paid the price.  Before the Black September PLO members used to be called freedom fighters, but after that incident the name changed to terrorist.
Like I said I am not pro or against anyone in this world, whoever does wrong must pay for it, but I say “Let’s be fair” that’s all.  All these terrorists in the beginning were fed by us.  Let’s see, our government stay silent and let the extremists take over Iran and then Russia says hey, I am going to invade Afghanistan (for no reason other than having a hand in the Persian Gulf and oil).  Then we backed Osama Ben Laden to fight Russians.  So instead of backing up the Afghans to have a decent government, we leave.  Osama and Taliban (Both unruly and hateful and God knows what else) took the country in their hands and violate everything that remotely relates to the humanity and human rights.  Meanwhile we and the entire West just watch and never bring out the Human Right issues.  That’s fine, then West realizes that Osama is a threat, ok I agree, but we were so involved in the sexual activities of our president that when the Northern Alliance leader tells us that he knows where Osama is and we can take them out, we instead ignore it and make headlines with Monica Lewinski pictures all over, telling how she performed BJ on our president and so we let Ahmad Shah Massoud get killed by Osama, and let him invade our country by such heinous act to kill few thousands innocent people on 9/11.  Then of course we insist that Saddam has WMD (of course we know that because we let him have it during the war between Iran and Iraq and exterminate the entire village) and Iranian soldiers.  I wonder why there was no talk of Human Rights again.  So Saddam believing he has endorsement of the West plan to invade another country and all the rest is history. All I am saying is this “We failed in our foreign policy” so let’s take a different approach, let’s do something different, let’s stop name calling, let’s be fair, let’s bring two nations together and let their citizens live in peace.  Let’s not accuse each other, let’s feel for both countries equally, let’s not make excuses for killing of the innocents.

Ok I think I have said enough…Now I like to go and see Waltz with Bashir, an Israeli movie nominated for Golden Globe and a French movie "I've been loving you for so long"

Have a great weekend all :)

My opinion
01.09.09 (2:07 pm)   [edit]

Let’s talk sensibly, without personal feelings.  Yes its very true that Hamas Party ignites the fire, and of course Israel’ respond is so out of proportion that the Human Right groups and even some Israelis are saying that Israel’s response constitutes “Collective Punishment” against Palestinian which could consider a war crime under the Geneva Convention. According to the Fourth Geneva Convention, "collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited" (article 33) as is the destruction of private or public property, "except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations" (Article 53). The Convention requires all states party to it to search for and ensure the prosecution of perpetrators of the war crime of "causing extensive destruction ... not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly." "Intentionally directing attacks against civilian objects" is also a war crime under Article 8 (b) (ii) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. With that in mind under the recent ceased fire, the Israeli fired and killed the UN driver. By the way I am not backing Hamas or any groups that encourage suicide bombing amongst the young and innocent kids.
I don’t see any fairness in neither Hamas suicide bomber nor Israelis who kill innocent people and I am sure there are people in Israel who are not telling their government “Hey look kill them all, children, women, men.  No One cares in this world, it’s only Palestinian blood and they are all terrorists according to the Western standards, and hey as long as we get them F-16 fighter jets, Apache and Cobra attack helicopters, 15mm Howitzers, m-16 automatic rifles, M50 machine guns and many other ammunition from our best and powerful ally let’s uproot them”.  But one thing neither west nor the Israelis understand is this “Those little kids who witnessed their mothers and fathers and brothers and friends are innocently getting killed by the Israelis and witness how the powerful nations of the West act like mute bystanders, will someday grow up and they will become Hamas or any other groups that will have suicide bombers”.
Just two years ago we all witnessed how Israel uprooted Lebanon for two soldiers.  I mean man kill 10 of them for one soldier of yours but don’t kill and destroy the entire nation. Meanwhile no one comes forward to say: Enough is enough: Israel you should give them a piece of land, stop the settlements or else we will not back you up and you are on your own, no more howitzers and F16. Palestinian, you now have a place call “Country” there will be no more settlements, you don’t have to pass the ‘Check points” to see your mother or father or children, we help you build your country BUT you must get rid of Hamas, you MUST stop the suicide bombing of the innocent people, you must stop getting arms from the unfriendly countries or else there will be the same thing and your children end up getting dead by shrapnel in the middle of the streets.
Like some senator said in Public Radio, what we did in the past didn’t work we must approach this issue in a different way.
You might call me names or commend me to check my morality but I have a suggestion too…Please do check your humanity once in a while and imagine yourself equally as a Palestinian and Israeli. Then we’ll talk.

May we all live to see the day that there will be one nation and there is no boundaries or borders to set us apart, a day that we all could live in harmony and in peace next to one another.

Why?
01.06.09 (3:04 pm)   [edit]

How the killing of nearly 15 members of a Palestinian family is different than what a suicide bomber does in Tel Aviv? I see no difference between the pain a victim feels from a suicide bomb and that an innocent person feels from one of our "surgical strike" bombs controlled from afar. It's still shrapnel ripping into human flesh, of innocents. A suicide bomb that kills 10 innocents is as morally heinous as a smart bomb that kills 10 innocents as collateral damage. Why is it not? To argue otherwise is purely unfair. What matters is actions and results. And please don't say "its war". Morality doesn't pause when you utter the word "war." The trigger-puller is responsible for any deaths. Whether that's a Qassam rocketed or Hamas suicide bomber, or an IDF pilot. Let's not redirect responsibility by saying "Hamas by using human shields" or "Israel's occupation" killed the people. The pro-Israeli PR machine is in full swing, as it was in the 2006 war. Let’s look at the reality: 550+ dead vs. 9. Ok maybe 50 of the 550 helped build or launch Qassam rockets. The rest of the deaths are unjustifiable, most of them civilians (at least 100 children and women).  Now just for the sake of our argument say if a nation Y or X (God Forbid) kill 500 Israelis unjustifiably, not only would Israel engage in bombing that nation to oblivion, but we Americans would back their act of self-defense. For some strange reason, the people of Gaza don’t have the same right, and if they did, it would be called terrorism. Why?  Can you explain it to me?

Are you??????
01.05.09 (12:28 pm)   [edit]

I went to see a movie last night, Revolutionary Road.  A very realistic and sad movie about a couple living in mid 50’s in Connecticut.  Needless to say that the movie was very well acted, and made me wonder about my own life and many other lives lived. Am I content and happy with the life I lived? Did I live for others or did what I wanted to do? Am I a conformist who never had guts to change her life for the fear of unknown?  Suddenly I couldn’t stop crying because I realized that even going to school and the major I chose wasn’t the one I always dreamt for.  It was mainly to be accepted as a good citizen, a realistic person.  Art?? What do you want to do with an Art Degree? Do you want to be a starving writer, painter or an interior decorator amongst thousands or even millions?  That is what I was told.  “You must have a career you have to study something that is substantiated, that is real.  I never had the guts to ask “What is real” isn’t my happiness a real thing?

I cried and I cried hard.  I don’t regret anything I did what I could in life to be accepted as an honorable person, who dresses up in the morning and go to the office and doing what I never liked but also never had the guts to go for other things that I might be interested just to fit in the norm. Although I did pursue my dream for a short time, but I was bombarded with comments such as “Oh you want to make the money that you are making in 10 years?” was money that important? Or was my happiness every morning for what I am doing is more important. I am happy that I am not a lone, I am almost sure that 98% of the people in this world are not totally happy with what they do and how they live, they just try to conform, to fit in the society as a husband, a wife, a worker, a…

I truly believe that only handful of people live a life that they really wanted and planned for.

Are you happy?
